NEW Mocap Belly Dances

We have just released four new sets of motion capture belly dances. These mocap animations are arabian styled dances suitable for use by 3D artists or game developers. They were recorded in our studio with a professional belly dancer using our optical motion capture sytem for the highest possibly quality. We have carefully cleaned, processed and looped them so they are ready to use.

As with all our other animations they come in the primary format FBX (60fps). We also include some preconverted files ready to use in a number of other commonly used and requested formats. These include bvh format for Daz3D (Genesis, Genesis8 & Victoria 4 characters), 3DMax biped, iClone motion file and an FBX retargeted specifically for the Unreal Engine Mannequin. The regular fbx file or UE fbx can also be used in Unity mecanim as humanoid type.

 

The four new mocap dance sets are all slightly differently themed.

'Sensual Belly Dance'
These are slow and sensual belly dances.

'Arabian Drum'
These are more upbeat dances performed to a fast drum beat.

'Gypsy Belly Dance'
These have more of a focus on gypsy style dancing.

'Tribal Fusion'
These dances are a fusion of traditional belly dance with some more contemporary latin dance and lock / pop body motions.

We will have more dances coming very soon in a variety of dance styles as well as more belly dances. I hope you find these new mocap animations useful.
